Edmonton International Airport Expansion Videos

With a new terminal launch comes exciting videos from famous Edmontonians. Eskimo alumni Henry "Gizmo" Williams, Gold Medal curler Kevin Martin, Senator Tommy Banks and Oiler rookie sensation Ryan Nugent-Hopkins all came out to play at the new terminal and helped create videos designed to make you smile.

Zippo -

Keen Eye DOP Kelly Wolfert and Fiber Films, a Chicago based Commercial Producer, braved the chilly fall weather to head up a National spot for Zippo, the lighter company. Co-Produced with Fiber Films, it was also another opportunity to shoot the project on the RED One and Canon 7D as a shooting combo. Principal photography took place near the rugged mountain backdrop of Kananaskis,AB. This US National Campaign kicks off on November 4th on OLN. Kelly would like to thank the crew for all their extra efforts. Zippo and Fiber Films were very pleased with the outcome. To view the video, click on this link:

WCB CEO Safety Chat

The Workers Compensation Board of Alberta was looking to address some serious issues on safety and the organization roll, so along with WhiteIron and Producer Shauna Scott, Keen Eye gathered a full crew to make it all come together. Spencer Beach, a spokespersons for WCB and an advocate for safety, survived burns to 87% of his body and now speaks to youth and adults about the simple truths of working safely.

MacEwan University Commercial

Grant MacEwan University recently launched "We have A Program For That" campaign, and Keen Eye was packing the "Red" camera to visually capture the look. Under Jeremy Chugg's direction (of Fresh Water Creative) Kelly and crew used a full arsenal of toys to facilitate the production. The spot promotes programs at the Faculty of Health and Community Studies.

3D Vancouver

3D Vancouver

In mid-summer after meeting Stereographer Al Caudullo on a CMT DOC Walker Concert Special Performance project, Keen Eye DOP Kelly Wolfert had an opportunity to work on Al's next project and branch into 3D. Al, a US Stereographer based in Bangkok, had Kelly DP parts of the episode which was shot as a series of tourism pieces for US Broadcaster "Wealth TV". Vancouver was the beautiful backdrop for this  1/2 hr. episode. As this fast growing style of media has taken the industry by storm, Keen Eye staff have all tried to get as much experience and training with 3D as possible in Edmonton, Vancouver, and Banff this year alone. We'll keep you posted on the other 3D projects.

Good Morning America

Keen Eye's Kelly Wolfert was on Canada's east coast this June, shooting for Good Morning America's "weekend window". Kelly and GMA producer Desiree Adib traveled from Halifax to Cape Bretton and back. The show is a unique look at areas off the beaten path. Small towns, friendly people and rugged coastline are the order of the day. It was also an opportunity to pickup some spectacular aerials of the east coast

2010 Awards Season

At this years Canadian Society of Cinematographers Awards, Keen Eye’s Head DOP Kelly Wolfert was nominated for 2 awards for his work with Good Morning America on the travel Series “Weekend Window” and for his work with Tourism British Columbia on the Summer 2009 Promo. That same tourism video won for Best Cinematography at the  2010 Rosie Awards in May. Keen Eye had 5 nominations for Best Cinematography in the early 2010 awards season as well as seeing projects that we worked on getting a remarkable 12 nominations. Keen Eye would like to thank all the producers we partnered with on another successful year of projects.

Disney Actor in Town for Interview

While on a press tour, Fletcher Knight hung out with Family Channel host Lindsay Hamilton and talked about the “Starstruck Autograph Session”. Producer Adrienne Macdonald called Keen Eye to shoot the segment on the sunny patio of the lovely Edmonton landmark, The Fairmont Hotel MacDonald. Sterling Knight was in Edmonton to talk about his role in the Disney Channel Original Movie "Starstruck" and the second season of his hit Disney Channel/Family Channel series "Sonny With A Chance".
